Miami Archdiocese
The Archdiocese of Miami, also known by its Latin name Archidioecesis Miamiensis, is a Latin Church archdiocese of the Catholic Church in South Florida. The Archdiocese of Miami was established in 1958 and experienced a significant influx of Cuban members following the Cuban Revolution in 1959. The Catholic population in the Archdiocese of Miami has grown substantially over the years, reaching approximately 824,000 as of 2021. This growth is partly due to the significant immigration of Catholics from South and Central America to South Florida, as well as from other parts of the world, including Asia and Africa.
